A bit more relaxed.. I hope

Phew!!...

Thank god last week is over. The earliest I left the office last week was around 10.30 pm. The clincher was being in the office till 3.30 am on Wednesday night only to be back in the office at 8 am for a presentation to the CEO.

This week looks to be less busy than last week. Hopefully, I'll have more time for myself. Nevertheless, there is still tons of work to do as our deadline to present to the Government is the 15th of May. Hopefully I can take some time off mid year.

I finally caught up on some sports last weekend. The highlights:
  • R. Federer still cannot beat Nadal on clay courts.
  • M. Schumacher is still one of the best (if not the best) on four wheels.
  • Baseball season has started but I guess not many people in Malaysia give a damn.. I do though
  • LeBron James is set to be the next legend in the world of basketball. The 'new' number 23 (Jordan's old number) scored a triple double in his first playoff game ever. Last person to do so was Magic Johnson.
  • I played tennis on Sunday and my backhand and serves still suck big time.

Monday & The Week Ahead

Firstly, I would like to thank everyone for their Birthday wishes.

Its Monday again and it will definitely be a long-long week. For the past 3 weeks I have barely had a weekend (was in the office again last weekend). On Saturday, the 'boss' of the project had already warned us to be prepared for a week of late nights in the office. Looks like I have to stock up on my ciggy's and snacks for the late nights.

I really need a good holiday after this project proposal reaches the Government. I would really love to go to Sydney, Australia (I haven’t been back since graduation) but I doubt I’ll have enough saved up by that time. Looks like its either Bali or Phuket again (my prefered Air Asia destinations). Anyone have any other 'cheap' holiday destinations?

TM – read your comment on my previous posting. Does this mean I can organize a stag night in Thailand soon??

Happy Birthday to Me!!

Today I turn 33.

Reflecting back on last year, I feel that my life has continued to be blessed. I have nothing to complain about (although a higher salary never hurts). I have a wonderful family, a decent job and have decent health. What more could a person need.

The only thing that pissed me off last weekend was that I had to be in the office from 9am till dinnertime on both Saturday and Sunday. This took time away my normal weekend time to be with Ally. By the way, she can say "dah-dee" now... I guess at 33, little things like that mean more than getting pissed drunk at the stroke of midnight... how age has tamed me..

Anyway, I would like to that my wife for giving me a 30GB iPod for my birthday.

Next target.. 34...

Damn Technology!!

Can't live with it, can't leave without it..... just like a woman...

For the last week my notebook has been diagnosed to have a virus via our IT department. They have taken the bloody notebook thrice to 'clean' it. Nevertheless, every time they return it back to me its still residing somewhere in my notebook.

I work for a 'technology' company and they can't clear a damn virus!!

Anyway, got to go... I would like to post more but i'm using my collegues notebook...
