Finally home from work and on the couch.... on TV they are previewing the Women's Semifinals of Wimbeldon. Watching the highlights of the Quarterfinals a question pops in my mind.

Is there any particular reason why most (if not all) of the tennis stars coming out of Russia look like supermodels??? You can put Sharapova, Myskina, Hantuchova, Petrova, etc. on any runway of a fashion show catwalk and they wouldn't look out of place at all. Now compare that list to the other top players... Davenport, Williams's, Mauresmo, etc.. These girls are so big (and masqualine) they can only date Linebackers and Power Forwards!!

Anyway, it was just a thought that entered my mind while waiting for the Semis to start. Maybe I should get some dinner as they are still previewing... later..

Welcome to my first atempt to blog...

Firstly, let me introduce myself..

I am a self confessed sports freak. I follow almost every major sport on the planet (and some obscure ones too). I dont just follow American Sports but also European and Australasian Sports. I shall not list the sports as I will probably miss some sports and that will piss me off.

By the way, I live in Malaysia. Now, some of you might wonder, how the hell (and most probably, what the hell does a Malaysian know about American, European or Australian sports)?? Well, To cut a long story short I grew up in the UK and US and went to University in Australia.

This blog will be my views on global sporting events. As there are limited (barely any actually) sports events here in Malaysia (except for Formula 1, MotoGP and a few smaller events), my prespective and views will be from the confines of my couch (via ESPN, StarSports and the Internet).

So please comment if you do or do not agree with some of my views. Before ending my welcome to you readers, I would just like to state that in relation to supporting a team, I support the Washington Redskins above any other team in any other sport.
